Summit night begins around midnight, trekking to Uhuru Peak via Stella Point. The steep, icy switchbacks to Stella Point at 5,756 meters or 18,875 feet may require crampons. From Stella, it’s a 1-hour push to the summit at 5,895 meters or 19,341 feet. You’ll gain 1,215 meters up and descend 2,715 meters to Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters or 10,170 feet, covering 25 kilometers or 16 miles in 13-15 hours (7-8 hours up, 6-7 hours down). Watch the sunrise over glaciers and craters—an unforgettable moment. Descend to Barafu for a break, then continue to Mweka through rainforest. Celebrate with photos and certificates
