Over four hundred species of birds also call the park home, making it a year-round paradise for bird watchers.

Best time to visit Lake manyara

Best wildlife viewing occurs during the drier season from June to October when animals are found congregating near the lake, and the park’s trails are clearer. The park transforms from savannah to a lush green paradise rich with birds and migratory wildlife, although some roads may be muddy during the wetter November to May season.

Wildlife enthusiasts can embark on guided walking safaris to explore tracks and flora up close. Guided game drives reveal the varied wildlife in the park. One of Tanzania’s first treetop canopy walkways is located here, providing Tanzania’s first exhilarating views from above.
